"I just visited Berkeley to help my son select off-campus student housing. We toured all the major properties in Berkeley but settled on Campanile Court. The developers of this complex recognized exactly* what students need, and then went above and beyond to design beautiful live/study spaces, exteriors, and amenities that resonate with young people. We visited other properties with high price tags that left the business of finding roommates to the renter. Campanile Court is unique because it rents by the space; renters are responsible only for their share of an apartment.The units are newly-minted and sparkling with in-unit washer-dryers and high grade faux granite island counters in the kitchen. There were so many choices of rooms, both private and shared; my personal favorite, a townhouse loft with access to a roof deck. The rates are excellent compared to other properties.
The building is very easy to get to from Cal and BCC and it's in an interesting and safe ethnic enclave with good cafes and restaurants. The staff are friendly and responsive, and eager to help students co-create a nice environment with a good vibe. Parents of Berkeley and Bay area students couldn't do better than Campanile Court if they're looking for off-campus housing in the area."
